Le cognac est produit uniquement \u00e0 partir de c\u00e9pages s\u00e9lectionn\u00e9s qui poussent dans une r\u00e9gion sp\u00e9cifique de la France. La production peut durer de plusieurs ann\u00e9es \u00e0 plusieurs d\u00e9cennies. Cela est d\u00fb au manque de certains compos\u00e9s laiss\u00e9s dans la fraction.
