Si la valeur du pH est de 4 ou moins, il s&rsquo;agit de mort acide. Lorsque la valeur du pH se situe entre 4 et 5, il n&rsquo;y aura pas de cycle de reproduction chez les poissons. Une croissance lente peut se produire si la valeur du pH est comprise entre 4 et 6,5. Les plages souhaitables pour la reproduction des poissons vont de pH 6,5 \u00e0 pH 9. Les poissons sont des organismes \u00e0 sang froid et assument approximativement la m\u00eame temp\u00e9rature que leur environnement. La temp\u00e9rature de l&rsquo;eau affecte l&rsquo;activit\u00e9, le comportement, l&rsquo;alimentation, la croissance et la reproduction de tous les poissons. Les taux m\u00e9taboliques des poissons doublent pour chaque augmentation de temp\u00e9rature de 10 \u00b0C. La temp\u00e9rature a un effet direct sur des facteurs importants tels que la croissance, la demande en oxyg\u00e8ne, les besoins alimentaires et l&rsquo;efficacit\u00e9 de la conversion des aliments. Plus la temp\u00e9rature est \u00e9lev\u00e9e, plus les besoins en oxyg\u00e8ne et en nourriture sont importants et plus le taux de croissance est rapide. L&rsquo;OD est incorpor\u00e9 dans l&rsquo;eau \u00e0 partir de l&rsquo;air atmosph\u00e9rique et de la photosynth\u00e8se \u00e0 partir des phytoplanctons. Pour avoir des poissons en bonne sant\u00e9, des niveaux d&rsquo;oxyg\u00e8ne de 60 \u00e0 70% de saturation sont n\u00e9cessaires. Si les niveaux d&rsquo;OD sont trop bas, cela affectera les poissons et leur croissance.<\/p>\n<p><strong>L&rsquo;oxyg\u00e8ne dissous<\/strong>fait r\u00e9f\u00e9rence au niveau d&rsquo;oxyg\u00e8ne libre non compos\u00e9 pr\u00e9sent dans l&rsquo;eau ou d&rsquo;autres liquides. Ce param\u00e8tre nous renseigne sur la qualit\u00e9 de l&rsquo;eau en raison de son influence sur les organismes vivant dans un plan d&rsquo;eau. L&rsquo;oxyg\u00e8ne non compos\u00e9, ou oxyg\u00e8ne libre (O2), est de l&rsquo;oxyg\u00e8ne qui n&rsquo;est li\u00e9 \u00e0 aucun autre \u00e9l\u00e9ment. La pr\u00e9sence de mol\u00e9cules d&rsquo;O2 libres dans l&rsquo;eau est en fait de l&rsquo;oxyg\u00e8ne dissous. Si les mol\u00e9cules d&rsquo;oxyg\u00e8ne sont li\u00e9es dans l&rsquo;eau (H2O), cela ne compte pas dans les niveaux d&rsquo;oxyg\u00e8ne dissous.<\/p>\n<p>Les poissons qui semblent l\u00e9thargiques et sont plus \u00e0 la surface de l&rsquo;eau, sont confront\u00e9s au probl\u00e8me du manque d&rsquo;oxyg\u00e8ne. Parfois, ils perdent l&rsquo;app\u00e9tit et leur croissance peut \u00eatre affect\u00e9e. Les gros poissons ont besoin de plus d&rsquo;oxyg\u00e8ne et s&rsquo;il n&rsquo;y a pas assez d&rsquo;oxyg\u00e8ne, ils d\u00e9velopperont des sympt\u00f4mes plus t\u00f4t. L&rsquo;eau supportant de bonnes populations de poissons contient normalement moins de 5 ppm de dioxyde de carbone libre. Dans l&rsquo;eau utilis\u00e9e pour la pisciculture intensive en \u00e9tang, les niveaux de dioxyde de carbone peuvent fluctuer de 0 ppm l&rsquo;apr\u00e8s-midi \u00e0 5-15 ppm au lever du jour. Alors que dans les syst\u00e8mes de recirculation, les niveaux de dioxyde de carbone peuvent r\u00e9guli\u00e8rement d\u00e9passer 20 ppm.
