IR sadr\u017ei dio elektromagnetskog spektra koji pada izme\u0111u radio valova i vidljive svjetlosti.<\/p>\n<blockquote><p>Gospodin Frederick William Herschel bio je britanski astronom rodom iz Njema\u010dke koji je prvi put otkrio IR 1800. godine. Do otkri\u0107a je do\u0161lo kad je pu\u0161tao sun\u010devu svjetlost kroz prizmu i dr\u017eao termometar tik iznad crvenog kraja vidljivog spektra. U po\u010detku namijenjena za mjerenje temperature okoline, Herschel je otkrio da je o\u010ditanje temperature ve\u0107e od temperature vidljivog spektra, pa stoga mora postojati nevidljivi oblik svjetlosti.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p>Kako je IR samo izvan vidljivog spektra, mo\u017ee se lak\u0161e osjetiti kao toplina. Toplotna energija koju prirodno daju objekti je ono \u0161to se mo\u017ee detektirati i mjeriti. IR se mo\u017ee mjeriti upotrebom beskontaktnih ili IR termometra. Jednostavnim usmjeravanjem IR termometra na neki objekt, emitiranu toplinsku energiju senzor preuzima i pretvara u elektri\u010dni signal; tada se ovaj signal prikazuje kao o\u010ditavanje temperature.<\/p>\n<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-1d618b09 elementor-widget elementor-widget-text-editor\" data-id=\"1d618b09\" data-element_type=\"widget\" data-widget_type=\"text-editor.default\">\n<div class=\"elementor-widget-container\">\n<div class=\"elementor-text-editor elementor-clearfix\">\n<p>Gotovo svi objekti ne emitiraju samo toplinsku energiju, koja se koristi za odre\u0111ivanje IR mjerenja, ve\u0107 i reflektiranu i prenesenu energiju. Izuzetak je crna povr\u0161ina tijela koja emitira 100% toplinske energije bez refleksije ili preno\u0161enja bilo koje energije. Odbijena i prenesena energija ve\u0107ine objekata koji se mjere moraju se uzeti u obzir da bi se postigla precizna IR mjerenja.<\/p>\n<p>Koncept emisije odnosi se na omjer toplinske energije koju objekt emitira u odnosu na crno tijelo. Crno tijelo ima emisijsku vrijednost 1 jer emitira samo toplinsku energiju; za usporedbu, polirano zlato ima emisiju oko 0,02. To ukazuje da \u0107e polirano zlato apsorbirati 2% i reflektirati 98% toplinske energije. Emisija se mo\u017ee razlikovati ovisno o sastavu i temperaturi materijala, ali ve\u0107ina organskih materijala, kao i grube ili obojene povr\u0161ine, imaju emisiju 0,95 koja se mo\u017ee koristiti za kompenzaciju IR mjerenja.<\/p>\n<p>Ugostiteljska tvrtka kontaktirala je tvrtku Hanna Instruments i zatra\u017eila brzo rje\u0161enje za mjerenje pripremljenih jela. Zbog zahtjeva za brzim, preciznim, neinvazivnim o\u010ditavanjem temperature, Hanna je predlo\u017eila infracrveni kontaktni termometar za prehrambenu industriju \u2013 HI99556.<\/p>\n<p>S vremenom odziva od otprilike jedne sekunde, rasponom mjerenja od -10 do 300 \u00b0 C i fiksnom kompenzacijom emisije od 0,95, ugostiteljska tvrtka bila je zadovoljna \u0161to su mogli brzo nadzirati temperaturu \u0161irokog raspona svojih jela. Povremeno, ugostiteljsko poduze\u0107e \u017eeli mjeriti i IR mjerenja. HI99556-00 isporu\u010duje se s odvojivom termistorskom sondom HI756PW za prodiranje u polutvrde tvari i ima to\u010dnost od \u00b1 0,5 \u00b0C. Obi\u010dno su dr\u017eali termometar oko 12 centimetara od hrane i tako imali mjernu povr\u0161inu od oko 4 in\u010da.
