Kada svetlost pada na objekat, ona mo\u017ee da se reflektuje, absorbuje ili transmituje. Staklo transmituje ve\u0107inu svetlosti koja do\u0111e u kontakt s njim, a transmitovana svetlost izgleda bezbojno. Sneg reflektuje svetlost koja je bele boje. Crni kaput, absorbuje svetlost pa i ona izgleda crno. Crveni komad papira bolje odra\u017eava crvenu svetlost nego \u0161to odbija druge boje. Vec\u0301ina objekata izgleda obojeno jer njihova hemijska struktura apsorbuje odre\u0111ene talasne du\u017eine svetlosti i odbija druge.<\/p><p>Kada govorimo o svetlosti obi\u010dno se to odnosi na belu svetlost. Tanka linija svetlosti naziva se zrak; snop je sa\u010dinjen od vi\u0161e zrakova svetlosti. Kada bela svetlost pro\u0111e kroz prizmu (trouglasti transparentni predmet), boje koje \u010dine belu svetlost se rasipaju u sedam traka. Te trake se nazivaju spektrom. <br \/><br \/>Sedam boja \u010dine belu svetlost: crvena, narand\u017easta, \u017euta, zelena, plava, indigo i ljubi\u010dasta. U svakom spektru trake su organizovane uvek s leva na desno.<\/p><p>Pretpostavimo da zra\u010dimo snop bele svetlosti materiji koja apsorbuje plavu svetlost. Po\u0161to plava komponenta bele svetlosti apsorbuje materije, svetlost koja se prenosi uglavnom je \u017euta, komplementarna boja plave boje. Ova \u017euta svetlost dopire do na\u0161ih o\u010diju, a mi \u201evidimo\u201c supstancu kao \u017eutu boju.<\/p><p>Varijacija sistema boja koji prolazi kroz promenu koncentracije neke komponente je osnova kolorimetrijske analize.<\/p><figure id=\"attachment_25482\" class=\"wp-caption alignnone\" aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-25482\"><figcaption id=\"caption-attachment-25482\" class=\"wp-caption-text\"><\/figcaption><\/figure><h2>\u0160ta je to kolorimetrija?<\/h2><p>Jednostavno, to je mera boja. Koloimetrija je odre\u0111ivanje koncentracije neke supstance merenjem relativne apsorpcije svetlosti u odnosu na poznatu koncentraciju materije. U vizuelnoj kolorimetriji prirodna ili ve\u0161ta\u010dka bela svetlost se obi\u010dno koristi kao izvor svetlosti, a odre\u0111ivanje se obi\u010dno vr\u0161i jednostavnim instrumentom koji se naziva kolorimetrom ili komparatorom boja. Kada se oko zameni fotoelektri\u010dnom c\u0301elijom, instrument \u201cpostaje\u201d fotoelektri\u010dni kolorimetar,<\/p><p>Kolorimetrijska analiza zasniva se na principu da mnoge materije reaguju jedna sa drugom i formiraju boju koja mo\u017ee ukazivati na koncentraciju supstance koja se meri. Kada je supstanca izlo\u017eena snopu odre\u0111enog intenziteta svetlosti (I\u2080), deo zra\u010denja apsorbuje molekule supstance i zra\u010di drugim intenzitetom (I).
