AgroNada new lab for wine and soil analysis

The grape harvest is in full swing and in order to start fermentation you need to know the values of several important parameters (pH, Brix, total acids). If you are not able to perform in-house testing, you can always turn to your nearest agriculture pharmacy for assistance and analysis.
As an example of that kind of service, we have AgroNada.
It’s a family owned company that has been selling agricultural equipment, protective products, seed assortment and various fertilizers and substrates for 30 years. Everything for hobbyists and professionals in agriculture. You can visit them on the address Ul. Slave Raškaj 9, 10430, Samobor, Hrvatska.
Along with the expansion of the product range, they noticed that no one in their area offers soil or wine analysis services, so they decided to equip their own laboratory for such analyses.
Mrs. Anita Scheliga, director of the company Nada d.o.o., in equipping of her laboratory turned to Hanna Instruments. The professional staff of Hanna Instruments advised the use of wine titrator HI901W with wine electrodes (pH and ORP) with CPS system.
The Wine Titrator is perfect for wine analysis which require accurate results, ease-of-use, and the ability to expand the system as their analytical needs grow. It comes preloaded with methods for wine analysis, and with Hanna, you get the support you need to run them perfectly in your lab. Using the HI901W titrator, it is possible to measure pH, total and volatile acids, free and total sulfur, reducing sugars, formalin number.
Exchangeable Clip Lock™ burette system helps them conveniently separate and switch between reagents so they don’t have to be concerned about cross-contamination. Our unmatched 40,000 step piston driven dosing pump is capable of dosing extremely small and highly accurate volumes of reagent, helping you achieve a very precise endpoint.

Portable Turbidity Meter
and Bentonite Monitoring
In addition to titrator for wine analysis, our expert staff also recommended them portable Turbidity and Bentonite Check Meter – HI83749. The HI83749 is a portable turbidity meter for the monitoring of protein stability and bentonite in wine. The meter is supplied complete with bentocheck reagent and AMCO-AEPA-1 primary turbidity standards. The bentocheck reagent is used to determine the amount of bentonite required to increase protein stability and the AMCO-AEPA-1 primary turbidity standards are used for calibration and performance verification of the meter.
In their assortment they offer a wide range of analyses, and they are equipped to perform the most detailed wine analyses. They offer everything that winemakers and winegrowers need during the cultivation and production of wine. Sulfurs (total and free), measurement of volatile and total acids, sugars, pH, bento test, alcohol are most often analyzed.
In addition to wine analysis, Mrs. Anita expressed her desire to measure the most important parameters in soil analysis (nitrogen, phosphorus, potassium).

Our expert staff recommended the spectrophotometer iris HI801 to her. An additional benefit of the spectrophotometer is that it can be used to carry out enzymatic methods in winemaking. This opens up a whole new spectrum of wine analysis at the biochemical level. The HI801 iris is a sleek and intuitive spectrophotometer that allows for measurement of all wavelengths of visible light.

They can customize methods, take a wide range of measurements, and feel confident in testing accuracy with iris.
Iris features precise wavelength selection between 340 nm to 900 nm for complete method compliance and accuracy that is necessary in industries like professional laboratories, water treatment facilities, wineries, and more. Results are consistent and accurate regardless of throughput with the high quality and uniquely designed optics system. Customization options include multiple cuvette shapes and sizes, custom calibration curves, and methods.
The expert team of Hanna Instruments Hrvatska also installed and trained the instruments on site. The client was shown how to calibrate and maintain the device, and it was also shown how to carry out the required analyses. After educating the client, we continued to provide support to the AgroNada client in order to perfect the implementation of the required analyses. We wish our client the best of luck in his future business with the indispensable support of the Hanna team!
